Play’n GO releases Beasts of Fire Inferno slot with beast transformations
The new video slot features a volcanic theme with expanding reels and a coin collection mechanic.
Play’n GO released its Beasts of Fire Inferno video slot on October 27. The game is set in a frozen mountain wilderness overtaken by volcanic eruptions. It combines beast symbol transformations with a coin collection mechanic. The central character, the Fire Beast, appears on the reels as part of the gameplay.
During the Fire Free Spins feature, Buffalo symbols transform into Fire Beasts. This transformation also triggers an expansion of the reel layout. Another feature, called Inferno Storm, is triggered by the Buffalo Relic symbol. It introduces Fire Frames that convert symbols into matching beast symbols across the reels.
Bonus Inferno Coins add a collection element to the game. The Inferno Core collects these coins, while the Hold N’ Load feature locks them in place. As Hold N’ Load progresses, additional rows can unlock to provide more space for collection. An Extra Boost can also appear during this feature.

Magnus Wallentin, games ambassador at Play’n GO, said the transformation is a key moment. “The strongest game characters have a role to play beyond their appearance. The Fire Beast has that connection here: during Fire Free Spins, Buffalo symbols take its form as the reel layout expands. For me, that transformation is the moment that brings Beasts of Fire Inferno together, a frozen wilderness overtaken by fire, with its signature creature becoming part of the action,” Wallentin said.
The game’s visual theme contrasts lava flows with snow and ancient stone landscapes. Play’n GO described the setting as a wilderness where the Fire Beast is at the centre of the upheaval. The company stated that the Buffalo has a fiery transformation of its own during the Fire Free Spins. The creature at the heart of the setting takes its place on the reels, according to the release notes.
Alongside these transformations, Bonus Inferno Coins give collection its own role in the game. The Inferno Core collects the coins, while Hold N’ Load locks Bonus Inferno Coins into place. Additional rows can unlock as Hold N’ Load develops, opening more space for collection, and Extra Boost can also appear during the feature. The video slot pairs beast symbol transformations with coin collection, set against a landscape of erupting volcanoes, snow and ancient stone.
