Hygiene Hijinks

hugging woman and man, he smells hideously

There once was a teen name of Newt
Who frequently failed to ablute
He didn’t give a hoot
So germs did pollute
His moldy and furry young snoot.

Another lad called himself Fritz
Neglected his pores and his pits
His ‘rents called it quits
At the end of their wits—
“That boy’s never staying at the Ritz!”

Now here’s a young lass christened Joan
Whose nasty hair-don’t was well known
Addiction full blown
(“JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!”)
She couldn’t get off of her phone.

So what does this story portend
For teens who do naught but click send
Whose odors offend
Whose psyches distend
Whose virtues suspend
I would recommend
Step in as a friend
Say “Please comprehend
The screen time you spend
Must come to an end
To stop this sad trend
And get you, my friend, on the mend.”
