BARCELONA · A new initiative called Casa Italia will debut at the ICE Barcelona 2027 trade show to provide a dedicated platform for Italy's regulated gaming industry. The pavilion is a collaboration between IGE, Italian Gaming Expo & Conference, GN Media and WorldGaming, the organiser of the ICE event. It will officially open at noon on January 18, 2027, at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, where the ICE exhibition runs from January 18 to 20. The project is conceived as a long-term effort to connect the Italian market with the global gaming community.

Casa Italia is intended to function as a central meeting point rather than a simple exhibition stand. It will bring together industry representatives, government institutions, regulatory authorities and trade associations. The programme will include panel discussions covering topics such as regulated markets, innovation, consumer protection and responsible gaming. Organisers also plan dedicated networking sessions and will link the pavilion's activities with other ICE initiatives focused on international regulatory dialogue. "With Casa Italia, we want to give an entire ecosystem a shared home and a stronger international voice," said Alessio Crisantemi, founder of IGE and head of GN Media. He stated that Italy is both a major market and a source of industrial and regulatory expertise. Crisantemi said the goal is to transform Italy's presence at ICE into a lasting platform that connects businesses, institutions and international markets to create sustained value.

Stuart Hunter, the managing director of events at WorldGaming, also emphasized Italy's role in the European sector. "Italy is a major force in European gaming, and Casa Italia offers a valuable opportunity to connect its expertise with ICE's global community," Hunter said. He added that the initiative aims to encourage new exchanges between businesses, institutions and regulators. Hunter said this would strengthen the dialogue and growth opportunities that define ICE as a key international meeting place. The overarching ambition for Casa Italia is to show Italy's industrial and technological capabilities within the gaming sector. Organisers hope it will encourage more public-private dialogue and forge new opportunities for international collaboration. By establishing this dedicated hub, the partners aim to strengthen the links between Italy's regulated gaming market and the wider global industry for years to come.
